ZaubNasty is a tremendous force that tears away at a new frontier, by stitching together Rock and the distant sounds of the Middle-East. This five piece band, led by Composer/Guitarist Toofun Golchin, consists of two electric guitars, tenor saxophone, electric bass and drums; and was formed at the California Institute of the Arts.
Their new EP titled “Cigarettes & Baklava” is due out in June 2011.

Even Oceans - (Set time: 9:00 PM)

Even Oceans is a 4-piece band that is based in Los Angeles. The band consists of Drummer Nick Baker, Bassist Max Whipple, Singer Joe Scolari and Guitarist Yunus Iyriboz. Drawing influence from a wide spectrum of musical styles, the band has their own unique sound which can be heard on their recently finished EP. The band is currently writing more songs as well as playing and recording every opportunity they get.

The Aditya Prakash Ensemble is a collaboration that breaks
down walls between the cultures of jazz and Indian classical
music. Through the common language of improvisation, as
well as original compositions that are inspired from Indian
Ragas and complex rhythms, and Jazz’s rich harmonic
structure with influences of hip hop and funk, the group
seeks to capture timeless messages of enlightened mystics
through their original lyrics which are arranged and
composed in a unique musical soundscape.
