Celebrating the release of his latest solo effort, Spilling A Rainbow, Mike Andrews will be performing a weekly Wednesday night residency at the Bootleg Theatre throughout the month of August, titled “Open Mike Andrews.” The return of the "Open Mike" has Andrews curating the night with his band and a host of different collaborators each week.
Daedalus
This Los Angeles-based group of one creates abstract music using sounds such as long drones, random samples and an assortment of odd, quirky noises. And while that may not sound particularly warm or inviting, there's an organic earthiness in the synthetic-genetic hybrid that surprises.
