The Seshen - (Set time: 11:00 PM)
The Seshen
The Seshen is a San Francisco Bay Area-based band that draws influences from an eclectic range of artists including Little Dragon, J. Dilla, Erykah Badu and Beach House. Their music fuses hip-hop, soul, pop and electronica, producing an original sound that is not bound to any particular genre.

Songs are created and performed by bassist/producer Aki Ehara, drummer
Julian Pont, keyboardist Mahesh Rao, percussionist Mirza Kopelman and synchronizer/sampler Kumar Butler. Driving beats laced with Afro-Caribbean percussion, thick bass lines, rich keyboards and textured electronic sampling provide the foundation for lyricists Lalin St. Juste and Akasha Orr, whose dreamy vocals create an ethereal sonic landscape.
Gavin Turek - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Gavin Turek
Triple threat. Many have claimed to possess it, yet finding an artist who has the ability to sing, dance and act is both hard to come by and an even harder quality to obtain. Enter: Gavin Turek. An unlikely character, Gavin turns out to be not at all what she seems. Behind the sweet monotone of her voice, innocent eyes and cascading curls, lies a talented artist who is capable of almost anything. One who is in every sense a triple threat.

The L.A. native known for her incredible voice, is also an experienced dancer, actress, and spokes person for the world renown make up brand Rimmel London. The Czechoslovakian African beauty began singing at a young age; writing her first song at the age of six. It wasn’t till Gavin reached college that she began taking her music seriously. When I asked what initially sparked her interest, she replied dryly, “A boy. It started out innocently. Writing was simply my emotional outlet so I started making music on my laptop. That led to my sister posting some of it online, which then led to working with incredible producers and beginning an album.” Crafting a sound that is soulful, memorable, danceable, earnest and shamelessly pop; all blended together by the soft soulfulness of Gavin’s voice.
Def Sound - (Set time: 9:30 PM)
Def Sound
The brainchild of everything abstract through electronic, rock, hip-hop and jazz sounds, Def Sound suits the name of the artist known to his mother as Emmanuel Ricketts. With a mission to touch the numb while hosting as a modern day light bulb designer for his generation, Def Sound hails from Los Angeles, California as a free spirit with a mesh of multiple influences ranging from N.E.R.D., Basement Jaxx, Ghostface Killah, K-OS, Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, Blu, John Lennon, Kanye West, A Tribe Called Quest, Pharcyde, J*Davey, Metronomy, Outkast, Your Mom, Jay Electronica,Nirvana, The White Stripes, Beck, Stereolab, The Roots, Bob Dylan and of course, much more.
Sound choose him, taking over 20 years to accept and finally manifest new shapes and sizes of ideas in form of sounds and rhymes that you don't just hear or see… but surely you experience. His rhymes may go over your head and demand full attention, but the talent is recognizable. In 2007 Def Sound answered his calling as a spoken word artist and toured nationally. His first experiment with creating also developed in 2007 as a book of writings titled Music 2 Your Eyes Vol.0. His heart never fully left music. The following project came to fruition in 2008 under the name Something, which featured many grand ideas in their infancy comparable to a child learning to walk or speak. The project dropped on many deaf ears, some were not ready to comprehend the "def" language.
Along his unique musical style, Def Sound has also gained success from his creativity sharing bills with the likes of J*DaVey, Rapper Big Pooh, Nikko Gray, Johnny Polygon, Bruce Lee's Ghost, U-N-I, Dom Kennedy,Jessie Boykins III, and Nas' band Mulatto. These stages were just the beginning as Def shined through his performances. All Def wanted to do was ensure people were living, feeling good, and inspired by and affected by his presence. That became his focus to the point he created an entire mixtape - or ITtape - of proof titled project Def Sound IS Alive, which dropped in 2010. Def Sound is now working on a full length sequel to Something titled "Anything: The Idea Machine", set to drop 2011. The project will include work from close studio buddies RC, Nikko Gray, Novena Carmel, Kevin Sandbloom, and J*Davey. His goal in life is to do nothing but do more things just so he can add better and more interesting accomplishments to his Bio and you can read it and be impressed.
