"Kitten is the kind of band that when you're hearing them everywhere in a few months, you'll remember fondly the first time you listened to them. If you haven't already, make that first time sooner rather than later–though the vocals of 16-year-old Chloe Chaidez are enough to keep pretty much anyone in the immediate area transfixed, the entire band seems to be composed of prodigies. And though they're young, they've been paying their dues and learning their craft for years. They've garnered comparisons to The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blondie and Cat Power, but Kitten is well on their way to being the band all the new kids are trying to sound like." --Cliche Mag
Nova Albion - (Set time: 8:30 PM)

Standing above the city, our bodies naked to the light and din below, our senses forage for nourishment. As they traverse the scenery of mismatched dwellings and the rhythm of never ending progress, the mass of sound begins to coalesce. At once, we are enveloped in the sensation, covered by a new fur, but sheltered from nothing. Instead, we are fully aware of the concrete, the landfills, the hum of machinery and the essence of our humanity. We go forth in this new passage we call Nova Albion.
The culmination of our experiences, the voice we follow, the object of our desire: Nova Albion. Please join us.

Hindu Pirates - (Set time: 9:30 PM)

Hindu Pirates, out of Huntington Beach, includes five young dudes (all 18 to 21), who are fusing garage rock and blues...definitely in a similar vein as Fidlar, Allah-Las, The Soft Pack and Surfer Blood. They have all been friends since high school ( which was only about 3 years ago for most of them), where they also launched the band as well. The band has received great support from Hurley (4-song EP + performing at the upcoming US Open of Surfing with Grouplove and White Arrows). Recently, the guys opened for Delta Spirit and Tijuana Panthers at The Observatory, and have also performed with Allah-Las, Har Mar Superstar, JJMAZ, Gantez Warrior and many other local standouts at well-known venues in OC and LA - The Smell, House of Blues, La Cave, The Satellite (this past month they played with The Union Line), Avalon, Detroit Bar, The Observatory, Constellation Room, Continental Room, etc.
In the last few months, they played Desert Daze Fest and Eclectic Roots Festival.

Y Luv - (Set time: 11:30 PM)

"College friendships blossoming into something more is not an uncommon beginning to a band's back story. In fact, plenty of collegiate buddies have gone on to sell out arenas together through music. In a similarly hopeful but local vein, Y LUV may be on their way to playing together for crowds larger than any "Battle of the Bands" venues can hold. Freddy Janney, Sam Nardella, Luke Hanna and Marcello Dubaz are still enrolled in school, but we've got a hunch that their forthcoming debut, "How Chill Can You Let Go" (produced by Light FM's Josiah Mazzaschi), will pack in the punch to help spring them forward. If any other songs on the EP sound anything like "All Night," Y LUV should be able to carry great commercial appeal yet spin pop rock songs with inventiveness that reminds us of the first time we heard Arctic Monkeys." - buzzbands.la
Baron Von Luxxury

I wash dishes as soon as I am done with them so they don't pile up in the sink. I live in the Silver Lake neighborhood in Los Angeles. I make music slowly. My new album "The Last Seduction" was released on Manimal Vinyl February 14, 2012.
