Robert Francis - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Raised in Los Angeles as the youngest member of a music-filled household, indie rocker Robert Francis benefited from a diverse musical climate thanks to his pianist/producer father, his sister Juliette Commagere (of L.A. outfit Hello Stranger), and his Mexican mother, who sang native ranchera songs around the house. The unique education paid off, and Robert independently released his 2007 debut, the musically diverse One by One, at the young age of 19. His second release Before Nightfall spawned the hit single “Junebug” which hit #1 in France and Top 10 in Germany and Switzerland. Robert’s first single “Heroin Lovers” from his new album Strangers In the First Place has been heard on KROQ’s Locals Only and is gaining national attention. See for yourself the dynamic stage show Robert is renowned for at The Bootleg Bar on Sept. 13.

Since the release of their first full-length album "Man vs. Machine" in July 2010, this indie folk group has grown a strong following. With headlining residencies at The Hotel Cafe & Silver Lake Lounge, a sold out show at The El Rey Theatre and opening for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros at the Grove in Anaheim, the band has been able to expand their local popularity into the national spotlight. Before Playing SXSW this year, the group toured 6 weeks all across the US even venturing into Canada twice. They have also toured the west and the east numerous times since then all in their Prius. This group of musicians are children in respect and the rest of the country is their Play Pin. Production for the groups next release is currently underway while still touring off and on.
The group now begins there journey east for CMJ and the recording of the next record. They will be record the next record in Ellington, CT while living in Brooklyn.
