Incan Abraham was founded in a garage in Rhinebeck, New York, in June 2009. In the fall of that year, the band relocated to Los Angeles, the hometown of three of its members, and Teddy, the only New Yorker, moved out West for the band. Since then, the band has released two EPs, Adult World (2010) and SUNSCREEN (2011), and maintained a constant stream of live shows in Southern California, as well as more far-flung appearances at CMJ 2010, San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival, and SXSW 2011.
With a sound at once welcoming and exotic, Incan Abraham has received praise from NPR, TIME Magazine, and a number of respected local, national and foreign blogs. Earlier this year, the band launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a new series of recordings, and was able to meet and exceed its fundraising goal by a substantial margin. The fruit of that effort, a new short-form album titled Ancient Vacation, was released in October 2011. On the strength of this release, Incan Abraham has been able to take its sound to its largest stages to date, including several official showcases at CMJ 2011, and an appearance at the Wiltern with Beady Eye in December.

Hands - (Set time: 9:30 PM)

"Feels more like a cumulation (rather than derivation) of the lot of the last decade's indie-rock." - Buzzbands LA
"The next band to break big out of Silverlake" - Rock Insider
"Hands will be without a doubt a band you should be looking out for in 2011!" - BeatCrave

Cuckoo Chaos - (Set time: 8:30 PM)

This five piece is what some might call a San Diego “Super Group” – comprised of players from other bands including The Vision of a Dying World, The Paddle Boat, Black Mamba, and Cousins. The immense musical talent in this line up is apparent in Cuckoo Chaos’ live show. These players are tight, energetic, and show personality that is rare in a climate of “cool kids” stoic expression in indie music theses days. In 2010 they won “Best Alternative Band” at the San Diego Music Awards and are currently finishing their highly anticipated debut full length record.
Masxs - (Set time: 11:30 PM)

“On current single “Chairman Gou,” the band borrows a few tricks from Radiohead. The song narrates the suicides of Foxconn employees in China, making for an eerie spiritual sequel to the technologist paranoia of Radiohead’s “Palo Alto” and, of course, landmark album “OK Computer." Joaquin Pastor’s sour croon even nods toward that of Thom Yorke. When the song bursts from a minor key dirge into a climactic finale, the guitars are pure Jonny Greenwood. There are worse influences to have, and Masxs treats them as a tool, not a crutch, pushing the limits of its lo-fi budget on tracks such as “Esther Reed” and “Georgian Orange.”” – LA Times Blog
